As it is, I've got minGW32 installed, but I don't even know what to do to compile a windows executable with it in ubuntu, so anything at all will help. I guess I'm just very frustrated that I've spent hours trying to compile a windows executable without any success. It was a piece of cake to set up code blocks and wxwidgets together to compile for Linux, why does it have to be so complicated for windows? Or there should be a step by step, copy and paste this, do exactly this, guide to compiling a wxwidget for windows. It seems like there should be a step by step guide somewhere to setting up codeblocks to work with wxwidgets without having to go out and find some other code and compile it and manually configure codeblocks to look in the right place for it in windows. I find it hard to believe that it could be so hard to get something compiled for both linux and windows. Following the directions (which look like they might be outdated as well) I never did manage to get it to compile (or at least compile totally I never did manage to get it to find wx wxprec.h), which as a result meant that I couldn't compile my program natively. I then went over into windows and found that to use wxwidgets in windows I have to compile it there first too. So why don't I just compile my program in windows you ask? Well I did try that after looking at this stuff for a couple of hours.
